Everybody Get Agenda

CD in digipack with 16-page booklet and Vinyl . Founded in 1996 by the German-Nigerian lead singer Ade Bantu, his brother Abiodun Odukoya and Patrice, BANTU have been one of the West African acts transforming the legacy of King Sunny Adé and Fela Kuti into the soundtrack of the continent. Ade Bantu, who is known in Germany as the founder and face of the "Brothers Keepers" initiative, is supported by four other singers. A three-person brass section builds perfectly on the versatile rhythm section. Members of BANTU are active with national greats such as Orlando Julius, Davido, Wizkid and Tekno, and the band won prizes such as the Pan-African Kora Awards and have worked with greats such as UB40, Tony Allen, Patrice and Gentleman. "Everybody Get Agenda" with its ten versatile and mature songs is nothing less than a musical sensation - Afro-beat, -Funk and -Soul flow into one another and meet jazz, highlife, R'n'B, hip hop and Yoruba music The chants, which are often polyphonic, refer more than ever to the social and political grievances in their home country and around the world. The fact that Seun Kuti appears as a guest singer on "Yeye Theory" gives this ultra-modern Afropop work its final accolade.
